When we arrived at the Holly Square Subway (see map) we were surprised to see how messy the dining area was. It was late, though, so we were disinclined to look for another restaurant. — I went to the ladies' room and it was disgusting. I mentioned the bad conditions in the restroom to an employee, and she did go in and tidy up. (She said that there had just been a large group there.)
Our food was passable, though the Wheat Bread Henry and I got was getting hard on top. More Wheat Bread had just been baked, and although I suggested the server use that bread, she didn't.
The ham, Provolone cheese, and veggies were “fair to middlin'” — just not as flavorful as sometimes.
Sarah enjoyed her “child's meal” of Tuna Salad on Wheat Bread, a Peanut Butter Cookie, and milk. The tuna salad was dry, like last time, but satisfactory.
Jonathan thought his Meatball Sub on Italian Herbs & Cheese bread was good but very messy. He also had an Oatmeal Raisin Cookie and a White Chip Macadamia Nut Cookie.
I'll give this place the benefit of a doubt and assume that they were a little bit off balance because such a big group (a tour bus?) had just left, and they had not gotten back on an even keel.
Veggie Delite sub.
Tuna mini sub.
