On my family's second visit to Toffino's Italian Bakery & Deli at 880 Farrow Parkway in south Myrtle Beach, we were just as impressed with the food as we were on our first visit (and I found out that they do sell bottles of their magnificent Italian dressing, “Italian Special Sauce,” as it is labeled).
Henry and I split a Turkey & Cheese hoagie ($6.39). We selected Provolone cheese. The sandwich was served with tomato, lettuce, onions, and mild banana peppers. We asked that the aforementioned glorious dressing be served on the side. The serving of potato salad which we chose was even better than last time.
Jonathan ordered the Soppressatta (similar to salami) & Provolone on Honey Wheat Grain bread, and potato chips. His sandwich and chips cost $7.69. Sarah tried a slice of the $2.25 pepperoni pizza. The pizza sauce was not too sweet. (Many places put too much sugar in pizza sauces, marinara sauces, etc.)
For dessert we sampled the refreshing lemon ice. It had a pleasing texture, with little bits of lemon zest throughout.
If our experience is any indication, you can count on getting high quality, authentic food at Toffino's. We look forward to returning there often.
