My husband, daughter, and I wanted a light lunch on our Tuesday visit to Salsarita's so we chose the daily special of three tacos. We wanted shrimp on them, but the shrimp shipment hadn't come in, so we settled for grilled chicken. We asked for practically all the possible toppings.
The soft taco tasted like gummy cardboard (I imagine, not having tried to eat any sort of cardboard), but the toppings and chicken were fine. We requested little cups of yellow cheese sauce, and both medium and hot salsa. It's fun to experiment with the “heat factor.”
There are also bottled commercial hot sauces (and black pepper) on the tables.
Soft drinks completed our repast.
It was an okay little lunch, despite the sad tacos and shrimp deprivation.
