I was lucky enough to discover your books in the National Park Service's Independence Mall Shop in Philadelphia. We're finding [At the Table in Colonial America] and Revolutionary Recipes both interesting and useful, as we try to imagine the cooking and dining habits of our colonial house family. Thank you for putting so much time and effort into historic research!
We have learned that the builder of our colonial house held a tavern license from the 1760's through the 1790's. Your books help us guess what the local river pilots and fishermen might have been eating as they swilled down ale and cursed the King.
